Dave was born on April 16, 1942, in New Castle a son of Anthony David and Mary Elizabeth Crawford Ohlin. After graduation from high school, Dave went to YSU for two years, but that was not his calling. At the young age of twenty, he was inspired by the home building business and eventually developed the houses off of Woodland Drive know as Maplewood Drive development. In later years, he started the new phase known as Timberbrooke Trails in Poland. He was a well respected developer and contractor.
Dave loved working in his garden with the help of his girls. The girls loved selling corn in front of Grandma's house. One of his biggest joys was his family and spending time with his grandsons and daughters. They all enjoyed gong up to Kane, PA, in the winter and taking their snowmobiles for everyone to enjoy. Their sheepdog Andy liked the snow too.
Dave's family enjoyed their first trip on a jet airplane taking the family to Disney World; that trip was enjoyed by all. Dave and Marilyn also enjoyed several cruises they went on, two trips to Hawaii and a trip to Alaska was the best.
Dave married the former Marilyn A. Lutz on February 24, 1968. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters Kerry Russell of Kent and Marcy (Edward) Cino of Poland, one sister Judy (Terry) Wenger of Novelty, OH, also four grandchildren David, Kyle, Blake, and Brock.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers William, Gerald, and Jeffery Ohlin, and a son-in-law, Frank Russell.
Dave will be greatly missed by his family and all who loved him. He leaves behind a great legacy that will always live on. As per Dave's wishes private services were held.
