Services: A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Boardman.

Visitation: Friends may call Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers, where the Youngstown Cursillo Bible Vigil will hold a service at 8:00 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:00 to 10:00 at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the mass.

BOARDMAN - David A. Melone, Sr., 66, of Boardman passed away at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus on Wednesday afternoon after losing his battle with cancer. David was born on October 18, 1944 in Youngstown, OH, a son of Vincenzo and Mary Centofanti Melone. He was employed by General Motors for 45 years. David was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, was active in the Cursillo movement and loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed working in the yard. David leaves behind his wife, the former Lynn C. Simerlink, whom he married on August 22, 1964; two sons, David A. Melone, Jr. of Struthers, OH, Jim and Karen Melone of Poland, OH; two daughters, Debbie and Keith Huck, Lisa and Wayne Bryan both of Boardman, OH and one brother Paul and Ann of Struthers along with 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Diane Smith and two sisters Louise Mileto and Loretta Horton.
