New Middletown — Cynthia L. "Cindy" Hutchko, 70, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. She was born January 23, 1956, in Youngstown, the daughter of August and Ina (Shawl) Vespasian. Cindy was raised in Struthers and was a graduate of Struthers High School.

Cindy married Ronald Hutchko on December 29, 1988. She lived in Virginia for 30 years, where she worked for Capital One, before returning to her hometown in 2018.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Hutchko; her children, Dan (Jessica) Cardelein and Deidre (Joe) Bradford, both of Spotsylvania, Virginia; and her stepchildren, RJ (Lola) Hutchko of Columbus, Ohio,  and Robert (Carla) Hutchko of Austintown, Ohio. She was a proud grandmother to Kayla, Collin, Carson, and Karlee Rose, children of RJ and Lola. She is also survived by her brother, Ken (late Jim Labrie) Vespasian of Austintown. Cindy also leaves behind her beloved dog, Pika, and her cat, Pepper.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James "Weasel" Vespasian. His wife, Karen Vespasian, is living.

In keeping with Cindy's wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Lease on Life Rescue, a local, volunteer-run animal shelter.
