Youngstown - Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6th at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Joe Congemi officiating, at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for Chauncey G. Calborn, 55, of Gateways to Better Living, who went into the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ on Tuesday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, with his sister, Valerie and her husband, Paul by his side.

Chauncey was born on November 6, 1958 in Youngstown, a son of George S. and Helen F. Flasher Calborn.

He lived at Gateways to Better Living most of his life and worked in the Gateways workshop

Chauncey was a delightful person, who was loved by all who knew him and was a joy to those he lived with at the group home. He will be missed by all.

He leaves his sister Valerie Popa Noble and her husband, Paul Noble of New Middletown;  an aunt, Viola Yaniglos of Youngstown and two nephews George (Yvonne) Popa and John (Lynn Marie) Popa. He also leave several other nieces and nephews.

Chauncey was preceded in death by his parents.

"The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Gateways on Canfield Road and the other home where he resided, for the love, kindness and care that they showed my brother throughout the years. We also wish to thank the nursing staff at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center ICU for the care they gave Chauncey."

Friends may call two hours before the service at the funeral home in Struthers on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
