Services: Services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Clemente Funeral Home and 12:00 noon at St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers.

Visitation: Friends may call on Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.

STRUTHERS - Charlotte (Shirley) Lipka, 81, formerly of Struthers passed away Tuesday evening at the Hospice House in Poland. Shirley was born on August 24, 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Alois and Hedwig Hulla Pajatsch. She spent several years of her youth in Germany and Romania and returned to the United States in 1945. She was a manager of the Sky High Drive-In for thirty years and then worked for the Brier Hill Pizza Shop in Struthers. She married John J. Lipka on January 8, 1949 and he passed away on February 19, 1987. Shirley was a member of St. Nicholas Church, a member of their choir and a member of St. Lucy's Church Choir. She was an avid bowler and a member of the YWBA (Youngstown Women's Bowling League) and the Women's 600 Club. She enjoyed cooking for everyone. Shirley leaves behind her daughers, Christine (Robert) Huelsman of Florence, KY, and Lydia (Robert) Merva of Campbell, OH; three sisters, Hilda Taindel of Boardman, OH, Eldred Zaharia of San Jose, CA, and Anna Marie Yaniglow of Boardman, OH; four grandchildren, Robert and Thomas Merva, Darrell Norris and Julie Norris Battelline; two step grandchildren, Robert and Michael Huelsman. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Pajatsch and Walter Pyatch.
