New Middletown – A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, October 25, at 11:00 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church at 10143 Main Street in New Middletown, OH, 44442, for Cathy L. Lehnerd, 61, who died Friday, October 17, 2025.
Cathy was born June 15, 1964, in Youngstown a daughter of Donald J. and Peggy Scott Erwin.
She graduated from Springfield High School in 1982. She went to school to become an LPN and LVN. Cathy worked 38 years at Shepherd of the Valley and ended her career as a home health care nurse for Maxim Home Health Care.
She married Charles F. Lehnerd, Jr. on July 8, 1989.
Cathy liked cooking fabulous meals and throwing great parties for friends and family. She enjoyed watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. One of Cathy's greatest pleasures was going to the beach for vacations. Most of all, she treasured her relationship with her daughters and spending time with them.
Cathy leaves her husband, Charles, her two daughters Amanda and Dawn Lehnerd both of New Middletown, her mother Peggy Erwin of Ft. Myers, FL, and her sister Lynda (Joe) Humphries of New Middletown, also several nieces and nephews.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Donald, her sister Verna Erwin and her in-laws Charles and Mary Pat Lehnerd.
Friends may call on Friday, October 24, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home at 10170 Main Street in New Middletown, 44442.
