Obituary

San Juan, Texas – Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown for Carol V. Crosby, 83, formerly of New Middletown, who passed away in Texas on Tuesday, November 8th. Carol was born on April 11, 1933 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Fred and Ethel Jones Banks. She lived in the area most of her life and moved to Texas in 1996. She was a secretary for the U S Steel Corporation Ohio Works for fifteen years, and last worked as a secretary in operations, for the Dollar Savings and Trust Company for three years; where she retired from in 1990. Carol was a former member of Gibson Heights Second Presbyterian Church in Youngstown where she served as an elder, choir member and director. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #381 in East Palestine, Ohio and was past president of the Springfield Township Republican Women's Club. Carol married her first husband Richard Trehan in June of 1951 and he passed away in January of 1967. She then married her second husband Kenneth Crosby in May of 1975 and he passed away in October, 1995. She leaves one son, Kevin Crosby of San Juan, TX; two daughters Linda (Don) Lyden of Austintown, OH and Sandra McNease of Washington and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and two sons, Curtis Trehan and Rick Crosby and one great-grandchild. Friends may call today, Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown.
