Youngstown - Carl J. Stillwagon, 76, of Youngstown, passed away on September 9, 2015 following an extended period of declining health.
He was born in Cadiz, Ohio and later moved to Sebring, Ohio.
Carl is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Patricia Lee Stillwagon; three daughters, Michele Stillwagon, Carla (David) Wolfe, Theresa Heasley; two granddaughters, Paige Presley, Aimee Presley Rosema and a grandson Joshua Heasley
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ross and Mary Stillwagon; one sister, Shirley Cook Stillwagon; one brother William Stillwagon and an eldest daughter, Kimberly Stillwagon.
Carl enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1957. In 1967, he served in the Naval Reserves for 15 years while also employed at Babcock & Wilcox in Barberton, Ohio as a Results Engineer. In 1982, he returned to active duty in the U. S. Navy and retired as a Command Master Chief with 37 years of dedicated service. Carl was a life-time member of the American Legion and the VFW. He absolutely loved serving and we are so grateful to him for his life-time career of protecting our country. He was a wonderful husband, father and provider for our family and we will miss him dearly.
A Memorial Service, with Military Honors will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio on Friday September 18, 2015 at 12:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association or Hospice of the Valley, (serving Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull Counties).
