North Lima – A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, at 10:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, 10857 Main Street, New Middletown, Ohio 44442 for Betty J. Byers, 90, of Caprice Health Care Center, formerly of  New Middletown, who passed away at Caprice Health Care Center in North Lima, Ohio. Betty was born April 26, 1925 in Punxsutawney, Pa., a daughter of Joseph Dwight and Blanche Elizabeth Anthony Palmer. She came to this area in 1990 and was a homemaker,  and was a member of  Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown. Betty married Perry Byers on March 8, 1969 and he passed away on May 10, 1990. She leaves two sons, Charles E. Leasure of Jackson , MI and Howard A. (Joyce) Leasure of Columbiana, OH; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren,. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband;  three brothers, James, Ward and William Palmer and five sisters, Helen Reed, Hazel Hinderliter, Mildred Ananea, Martha Depp and Dorothy Cowie. There will be no calling hours.
