Struthers - Betty Mae Nicolls Grover, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Maplecrest Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Poland, Ohio on January 9, 1922 to the late Carl and Ethel Nicolls. She was a 1940 graduate of Poland Seminary High School where she was the county tennis champion. She worked at Ohio Bell for 5 years, the Mural Room for 8 year and retired from the Avalon Inn after 25 years. Her husband Donald G. Grover, whom she married on January 19, 1945, passed away December 19, 1995. Betty is survived by her children Haven (Monica) Grover and Gayle (Jim) Ridge of Poland and Janice (Gary) Blucker of Struthers. She also leaves her brother, Atty. Donald J. Nicolls, of New Castle. Two of her sons, Richard and Gary preceded her in death.  Betty also leaves nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Betty remained active in her church and loved her church family. She rarely missed any of her grandchildren's activities and recently attended the high school graduation of her oldest great grandchild. Betty's family would like to thank the kind and compassionate care she received from all the staff at Maplecrest Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation during the past year and a half. Family and friends may call at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers on Saturday, July 9th from 11:00 A.M. to noon where a Memorial Service will follow. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Poland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Betty's memory to be made to Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1051 Mathews Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44514
