Obituary

Struthers – A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica at 343 Via Mt. Carmel in Youngstown with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. as celebrant for Antoinette R. (Labato) Manley, 97, who passed away peacefully Thursday evening. Antoinette was born January 10, 1918 in Youngstown, a daughter of Dominic and Regina Diorio Labato.  She worked in manufacturing during the war and was a server at the Justhron Club and Powers Auditorium.  She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica and the Infant of Prague Guild at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish.  Antoinette enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles but she truly enjoyed spending time with her family and helping the people she loved, including her beloved grandchildren. Antoinette leaves her grandson Michael (Rosemarie) Manley of Florida and two grandsons Anthony and Jonathan Manley. She was preceded in death by her son Doug Manley, three brothers Arthur, Anthony, and Paddy Labato, five sisters Edith Massaro, Jennie Mazanski, Adeline Gray, Beatrice Alexander and Mary Kushner. Friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Tuesday, one hour prior to the mass, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica.
