Struthers – A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Christ Our Savior / St. Nicholas Church in Struthers for Anthony DeSalvo, 85, of Struthers who died Sunday at Austinwoods Nursing Home. Anthony was born July 12, 1929, in Youngstown a son of Sestino and Angela DeTomasa DeSalvo. He married Pauline Spano 59 years ago. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Republic Steel as a railroad brakeman and engineer.  He was a member of Christ Our Savior / St. Nicholas Church.  He enjoyed golfing and meeting his friends at Arby's. Anthony leaves his daughter Cathy DeSalvo of Struthers; a brother Eugene (JoAnn) DeSalvo of Austintown; a sister Mary Pasquinelli of Youngstown and many nieces and nephews. Anthony was predeceased by his wife, Pauline, who died January 19, 2002; one brother John DeSalvo, and two sisters Helen Kit and Lena Robison. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
