Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, Dec. 16th. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation: Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown and one hour prior at the church on Monday, from 9 to 10 a.m.

New Springfield - Anna C. Zitkovic, 84, of New Springfield passed away Wednesday afternoon at her home. Anna was born on August 4, 1929 in Aliquippa, Pa., a daughter of Nicholas and Anna Spivak Hrelec. She moved to New Springfield as a child and lived there her entire life. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. Anna was her happiest when she was baking and sharing her time with all her children. She loved singing to her grandchildren and teaching them Croatian songs and telling them her many childhood stories. Everyone loved going to (grandma's) house. Anna married George E. Zitkovic on June 7, 1947, and he passed away on July 1, 1998. She leaves one son, Robert G. (Janie) Zitkovic of New Springfield; two daughters, Jeanne (Ronnie) Repko of New Springfield and Carol A. Dey of New Middletown; one brother, Peter (Dorothy) Hrelec of Campbell; seven grandchildren, Tracy (Paul) Repko-Kuboff, Lori Repko,Jennifer Dey, Tiffany Dey, Eric (Melissa) Zitkovic, Bobby (Marisa) Zitkovic and Danny (Savannah) Zitkovic; and six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Emma, Olivia, Addison, Brayden and Kolten. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one brother Stephen Hrelec and two sisters, Katherine Mihin and Mary Zaluski.
