Obituary

Lordstown-A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church in Struthers for Ann Ramun, 95, formerly of Struthers, Ohio, who passed away on Sunday, at the Humility House with her family at her side. Ann was born December 2, 1920 in Campbell, Ohio, the daughter of Michael Sr. and Anna Furin Leschinsky. She married the love of her life, Sam Ramun on July 14, 1947. Together they owned and operated Empire Auto Wrecking Company, but only had 26 years together. They had four children. After Sam's death in 1973, Ann retired from Struthers City Schools in the early 80's. Ann loved her children and grandchildren very much and would cook every Sunday and bake for the entire family.  She especially enjoyed needle pointing pillow cases and passing them out to family and friends. She also enjoyed watching QVC with her buddy, her dog "Casper",  who will miss her terribly. Ann is survived by three children, Ann Marie (Richard) Kryzs, with whom she made her home; Frank (Sandie) Ramun and Mary (Stephen) Soltis both of Campbell, Ohio; a sister Kate Garman of Campbell; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one daughter Carolyn Ramun; a baby sister; a baby brother Nicholas Leschinsky; a sister Mary Leschinsky; brothers, John (Sue) Butchko, Pete (Ann) Butchko, Andrew (Margie) Leschinsky, Steve (Ann) Leschinsky, Walter, Michael, Joseph Leschinsky; brother-in-law Maurice "Pete" Garman and niece Kathy Lazor. Ann's daughters, Ann Marie and Mary, and son Frank told their mother, on Mother's Day, that the "Greatest Gift God Gave a Child", is a mother to cherish and worship, which they did, and now she is in heaven with God watching over us. We will cherish her memories forever Ann's family wishes to thank her grandchildren and great grandchildren and friend Karen Wright, who was like a daughter to her, and nephew Tom Leschinsky, and the staff at Humility House for all the support, love and care shown to Ann during her illness. Friends may call on Wednesday in the church one hour before the service, from 10:00 to11:00 a.m. Arrangements handled by the Clemente Funeral Home of Struthers.
