Services will be held at a later date for Andrew K. Evanchuck, 85, of Poland who died Sunday morning at the St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana

Andrew was born on June 28, 1931, in Melcroft, Pennsylvania, a son of George and Katherine Kurka Evanchuck.

He served in the United States Air Force and worked as a machinist in the tool and die industry.

He married Peggy Glotfelty on April 20, 1957.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and loved growing tomatoes.

Andrew leaves one son Steven Evanchuck of Poland, with whom he resided, one brother Kenneth Evanchuck of Chardon, Ohio, one sister Helen Flack-Dudgeon of Deltona, Florida, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy, who died December 30, 2007, one son George Evanchuck, a brother Stanley Evanchuck, and one sister Eleanor Gearey.
