YOUNGSTOWN – Funeral services will be on Tuesday March 12, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for Alice E. Cownden (Genhart/Hoffman), 76, who passed away at home on Saturday morning March 9, 2019.

Alice was born on April 19, 1942 in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of John and Dora Leak Hoffman. She was a life long area resident and was a homemaker and worked as a care giver and manicurist.

Alice leaves her one sister Olive Harasyn, one son David Genhart and daughters Kim (Jeff) Redmond and Shannon (Tony) Genhart, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, that she loved dearly.

She always made time for others and her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved. There were many who were blessed to know her.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents John and Dora Hoffman, one sister Becky Strait, husbands Jim and Dave, and one son John.

Friends may call on Tuesday two hours before the services at the funeral home from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. After the funeral the family wishes to invite everyone to Gatherings Banquet Center, 2252 Benjamin Franklin Hwy (Rt 422)  Edinburg, PA 16116.
