BOARDMAN-Alfred Eugene Perdue,77, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 8th. surrounded by his family. Alfred was born on October 11, 1935, a son of Lewis and Geneva Williams Perdue in Bluefield, West Virginia. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1952 to 1960. Alfred married the love of his life, Thelma(Faye)Smith on March 2, 1955, before they moved to Ohio to start their life together. He worked 36 years for Barth Farms, retiring in 1995, when they closed. Alfred was an outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish and camp. He and Faye had a camper at Western Reserve Park in Canfield, where they enjoyed spending their summer. It was their home away from home. He played corn hole with all his buddies and when he made a camp fire (no body better mess with it). Alfred was a member of New Hope Church in Boardman. He leaves his wife Faye of 58 years;one son, Joe (Wilma)Perdue of New Waterford; two daughters Brenda (Rocky) Broadsword of Salem and Candy (Monty) Smith of Struthers; two brothers Leonard (Betty) Perdue and Jerry (Betty) Perdue; one sister Norma Walker, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends who all loved him dearly and will miss him a great deal. In addition to his parents, Alfred is preceded in death by his son Henry Perdue
