Obituary

North Lima- A prayer service will be held on Friday, March 7, at 10:30 am at the Clemente Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 am at Christ Our Savior/ St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers, for Agnes L. Ginnetti, 83, who peacefully passed away, Monday; March 3, 2025, at the Inn at Glenellen, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 15, 1941, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Mary Bertelli and Ross Bertelli. She graduated from Villa Maria High School in 1959. She then attended and graduated from Youngstown State University.

She met the love of her life, Donald Ginnetti and they married on November 17, 1962. She was a devoted wife for 42 years sharing a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories until his passing.

Agnes was a passionate educator, dedicating over 50 years to her teaching career, inspiring countless students with her enthusiasm and commitment to their growth. Her impact extended far beyond the classroom, as she formed lasting friendships with colleagues and families alike. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Christ Our Savior Parish.

Agnes will be remembered for her generous spirit, love for her family and dedication to her profession. She leaves a legacy of love, laughter and the importance of education.

She had a zest for life, with a particular fondness for her favorite pastime - playing slot machines. She enjoyed the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it brought with friends and family.

She leaves behind her three children: Donald (Tracey) Ginnetti, Kathleen (Kevin) Powell, and Nicole Ginnetti  for whom she cared for until her passing; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her brother John (Marilou) Bertelli and many nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 2005, her parents, brother, Joseph Bertelli and sister Loretta Graziani.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.

The family would like to thank the very loving staff at The Inn at Glenellen for the compassionate and loving care that they gave to Agnes, as well as those from Patriot Hospice who cared for her in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to Patriot Hospice or the Inn at Glenellen.
