Poland – Services will be held Thursday, September 13, at 12:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown for Jack J. Farmer, 81, who died peacefully at Hospice House.
Jack was born in Bluefield, VA, on April 19, 1937, a son of Milton and Ruth Woodyard Farmer.
He graduated from Beaver High School in 1956 and attended Concord College in Athens, West Virginia and Youngstown State University. He worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 32 years as Director of Patient Accounts, a position from which he retired.
Jack married Donna L. Tobey on November 8, 1986.
He enjoyed playing basketball in high school and the hobbies of roller skating and football. He loved to build model cars. He was known as the “Jack” of all trades, fixing everything, and he loved to “tinker” with cars.
Jack leaves his wife, Donna; one stepson Jeffrey (Janet) Tobey of Moyock, NC; two stepdaughters Pamela (Randy) Frease of Youngstown and Cindy (Matthew) Howard of Portland, OR; one brother James (Anita) Farmer of Columbiana; one sister Sarah (Ben) Janutolo of New Middletown; five grandchildren Zachary and Ian Tobey, Madison, Buchanan, and Kennedy Howard; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
