New Middletown – Services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 pm, May 1, at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown for Betty “Jean” Bigley, 84, who died Sunday, April 28, surrounded by her family at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boardman
Jean was born June 1, 1934, a daughter of Granville and Mabel Murray Stitt. She worked as a private duty nurse for many years before retiring.
Jean leaves five sons Rick Bigley (Barbara Massey) of Rocky Mount, NC, Ron (Mary) Bigley of Austintown, Randy Bigley (Lisa Blackman) of Dover, FL, Mark Bigley (Karen Bigler) of New Middletown, Bryan (Kristen) Bigley of Poland; one daughter Cheri Mayle (Tony Scarfo) of Youngstown; three brothers Bob (Kathy) Stitt of Huey, PA, Ray (Ethel) Stitt of Cherry Run, PA, Gerald (Gwen) Stitt of Rimersburg, PA; two sisters Geraldine Unger of Niles and Mary (Frank) Smith of Pennsylvania; one sister-in-law Kathy Stitt of Cherry Run, PA; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband Ralph Bigley, Jr; one brother Denny Stitt and a great grandchild Kylee Gilbert.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, prior to the service, at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown at 10170 Main Street.
