New Middletown – Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown for Benny R. Janutolo, 86, who passed away Tuesday evening April 23, 2019 at Caprice Health Care Center.
He was born October 9, 1932 in Falls Mills, Virginia, a son of Deno and Janet Hawley Janutolo.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and came to the area in 1960. He was a truck driver for Modern Builder’s Supply Company for many years, retiring in 1997. He attended the Freedom Church in New Middletown, and was a long time member of the New Middletown Farmers and Sportsman Club. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, and loved to tend to his garden and canning his vegetables. He enjoyed spending time with his children.
Benny married the former Sarah C. Farmer on August 24, 1953.
Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Dan R. (Connie) Janutolo of New Middletown, OH; two daughters Sheila L. (Charles) Thiry of Leetonia, OH and Devona J. (Michael) Groneck of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Earl, Alvin, Bernice and Marshall Janutolo, and one great grandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral home in New Middletown, two hours before the service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
